Donald K. Barnes

Donald “Donnie” K. Barnes, age 72, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by family in Columbia, Tennessee.

Donnie was born on December 15, 1949 to the late Kendall Barnes and Cora Crowder Barnes in Pudacuh, Texas. Later they moved to Higley, Arizona, where he was raised with his four brothers.

Donnie was a hardcore cowboy. From the vast lands of Arizona, Donnie lived a life fulfilling life of a rancher. He worked long days on the farm, from picking cotton to rounding cattle he made sure all the jobs got done before dark. He later went on to take on a career as a truck driver that allowed him to see the the sights that the road had to offer. On his leisurely days, he would enjoy going catfishing or horse riding.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Debbie Barnes, and his daughter, Shilo (Matt) Turri; brothers: Stanley, Mitchell, Kenny and their spouses; and grandsons: Daniel and Samuel.
