Don Wesley Graham, a longtime resident of Swan Creek in Hampshire, Tennessee, passed away on February 3, 2020, at the age of 81, his loving family was by his side.
Don was born on January 12, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, to the late John Harvey Graham and Anna Louise Parson Graham. Don married Nancy Sharpe when he was 21 years old. In the last 59 years, they raised two children and served the Lord in many ways. Don was a pastor and served at many churches over the years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant since turning 16. Most recently, he served as a deacon at Swan Creek Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon. He was a member of Carpenters for Christ and helped build several churches over the years, including his church at Swan Creek. His fingerprints are not only on the buildings that he helped build but also on the lives of people he met along the way. Don was a farmer and a soil conservationist and served as president of the group for 13 years. Don served his community as a Lewis County Commissioner. The most important things in life were his Lord and his family.
He is survived by his loving wife: Nancy Graham; daughter: Sherry (Greg) Duncan; son: Don Wesley Graham, Jr.; grandsons: Brandon (Meagan) Chase Graham and Aaron Thomas Graham; great-granddaughter: Arianna Street; brother: James (Rebecca) Harvey Graham and Jeffery (Charlotte) Graham; and sister-in-law: Joanne Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Billy Graham.
Services will be February 6, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Gowan is officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
