Desdie M. Collins, 63, a resident of Walnut Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, June 3rd at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be conducted 3:30 PM Sunday at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Maxine Logan giving the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Polk Meorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday and 11:00 Am to 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Born November 2, 1946 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Louise Riddell Cravey and the wife of the late John T. Collins. After the death of her mother, she was raised by her aunt, the late Katherine Smith. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker who enjoyed the Food Network, working on her computer and being with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children: Kathy Randy Potts of Columbia, Dawn Collins of Mt. Pleasant and Claudia Daniel Jones of Lewisburg; grandchildren: Jennifer Collins of Mt. Pleasant, Ashley Jones and Sarah Jones, both of Lewisburg, Allen Potts and Courtney Potts, both of Columbia; sister: Maxine Dan Logan of Franklin; brother: Buddy Charlotte Smith of Alexandria; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tina Louise Collins and an infant sister.
Pallbearers will be Derek Cartwright, Randy Logan, Jay Logan, Will Fitzgerald, Ken Thompson and Billy Martin.
