Dennis Wayne Eastep

Mr. Dennis Wayne Eastep, age 69, a resident of First Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 2, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Eastep will be conducted Saturday December 5, at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born February 1, 1940 in Maury County, TN, he was the son of the late Marvin and Gladys Hendrix Eastep and the husband of Carolyn Dugger Eastep. Wayne and Carolyn married on August 22, 1959. He was a graduate of Haylong High School in Mt. Pleasant and was a retired mechanic at Zeneca after 36 years of service. Wayne was a member of the Beech Hill Church of Christ and was also a deacon for many years. Wayne was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club, and an avid lover of golfing and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Randy Tammy Eastep, Stanley Patsy Eastep of Mt. Pleasant, Barry Melanie Eastep of Columbia and Kenny Tamara Eastep of Long Beach, Miss; four granddaughters: Melissa Myers, Lauren Eastep, Haley Eastep of Mt. Pleasant and Adrianna Eastep of Columbia; six grandsons: Aaron Julie Eastep of Mt. Pleasant, Josh Dugger of Long Beach, Miss, Jacob Eastep of Columbia, Dewayne "Bubba" Eastep and Justin Eastep of Columbia and Brandon Eastep of Long Beach, Miss; great-grandsons: J.J. Myers, Gavin Myers and Oakley T. Eastep. He was preceded in death by a brother: John "T. Model" Eastep.
Pallbearers will be Roy "Oscar" Clark, Ronnie Dugger, Wayne Dugger, Danny "Rabbi" Henson, Randall Pruitt, Perry Dugger, Arnold Grooms and Jason Boshers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Lange, Jackie Boshers, David Calvert, Dr. John Maloof, members of the Beech Hill Church of Christ, members of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club; special friends: Ed and Jane Lange; special aunt: Linda Boshers; special cousin: Elizabeth Dugger.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1818 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203 or to the library at the Main Street Church of Christ, 210 North Main St. Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.
