Dennis Branham

July 12, 1952 — September 9, 2024

Dennis Branham, 72, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024 at his home in Summertown, Tennessee. Dennis was born on July 12, 1952 to Walter and Callie Branham in Lackey, Kentucky. He moved to Ohio at an early age, and graduated from South Central High School in Greenwich, Ohio in 1970.

Dennis became a mechanic, and shared his knowledge and time generously with others. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Later, after his move to Tennessee in 1999, he taught himself woodworking and went on to make finely crafted pieces, including tables and chairs he gifted to others. Above all, however, Dennis was known as a good cook, a skill he learned from his mother.

On July 6, 1974, Dennis married the love of his life, Cynthia Lewellen, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. A proud and supportive parent, Dennis nurtured their children and grandchildren and always encouraged them to do their very best.

Dennis was known as a caring and kind friend. He was knowledgeable about so many subjects, and kept himself well-informed on the state of the world around him. His quick wit and thoughtful observations will be missed, but his voice will live on for his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia; his children, Jeremy Branham, Jeffrey Branham, and Jennifer Branham; and his cherished grandchildren, Noah, Felicity, Walker and Waylynn Branham, Chloe Barnett, Reese and Kendall Clayton, and Keyli Wooldridge. He is also survived by his brother, Shayne (Brenda) Branham, and his sister, Earnestine Jones.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Branham, as well as the many dogs he loved throughout his life.

Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences can be given to the family at williamsfh.com.
