Mrs. Delores Schulz Miller, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at NHC Hillview in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Deacon Price Keller. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
Delores was born on December 27, 1928 to the late James J. Schulz, Sr. and the late Vera Adams Schulz in New Orleans, LA. She was married to J. Ledlie Miller, Jr. on November 16, 1976 and they enjoyed nearly 40 years together prior to his passing away on December 3, 2013. Delores was a homemaker and also taught preschool for twelve years. She belonged to the Music City Painters and to Houston Porcelain Artists prior to moving to Tennessee in 2005. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her children: Delores Blankenship and Karl (Lisa) Schneider; grandchildren: Sam Schneider, Serena Schneider, Marcella Duke, Matthew (Christie) Duke and Jessica (Ian) Black; daughter-in-law: Carolyn Schneider; brother: James (Jean) Schulz, Jr.; sisters: Joan Hines and Jean (Edwin) Jonas; and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Charles N. Schneider, Jr.; granddaughter: Melissa Duke Mooney and son-in-law: Thomas Wayne Blankenship.
