Delores T. Booker, age 82 of Columbia, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at NHC Columbia.
Delores was born July 26, 1930 to the late Fannie and Leroy Scruggs in Mt. Pleasant, TN. She is the widow of the late Russell Booker. She loved spending time cooking for her family and making sure there was plenty for everyone. Mrs. Booker was an avid member of the church where she loved going and spending as much time as she could with grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Delores will be Friday, May 17, 2013 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. with funeral services following at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Bellafant Tabernacle, 1607 Whatley St, Columbia, TN 38401. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Howard Fleming, III, Rodney Fleming, Kevin Fleming, Alvin Childress and Jeffery Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the Bellfant Tabernacle.
Mrs. Booker is survived by her four sons: Carl Booker, Howard (Mary Ann) Fleming Jr., James Fleming and William Booker; one sister: Dorothy Johnson; grandchildren: Deleshia (Alvin Childress) Booker, Shadrika Booker, Tonya (Donald) Russell, Collete Webster, Vickie (Henry Pye Fleming, Howard (Heather Green) Fleming III, Rodney (Brittany Jones) Fleming and Kevin Fleming; and a host of great and great great grandchildren; family friends: Stephanie Brown, Breanna Brown, Kejuan Walker and Linda (World) Gail. She is preceded in death by her daughter in law Andrea Booker.
