Debra Maxine “Debbie” Mathews, age 56, passed away October 13, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. Debbie was a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Debbie was born September 12, 1957 in Hammond, IN to Eugene and Stella Matthews. Debbie graduated the class of 1976 from Lake Central High School, St. John, IN. She was a former resident of Missouri and Florida. Debbie enjoyed reading, the Cooking Channel, outdoor activities and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Debbie was an employee of Shoney’s in Lawrenceburg.
Debbie was survived by her three children: Stefanie Pufahl, Joey Pufahl and Scott Pufahl; five grandchildren: Braelynn, Makenzie, Colby, Carmen and Annika; mother: Stella Mathews; sister: Jacqueline (George) Dunlap; four brothers: Gene (Nancy) Mathews, Dave (Barbie) Mathews, Pat (Barb) Mathews and Mark (Joyce) Mathews; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Mathews; one brother: Gregory Mathews; one niece: Jennifer Mathews.
Memorials maybe given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Memorial Services will be conducted October 19, 2013 at the Mason Hall in Griffith, Indiana at 1:00 P.M.
