On Friday, July 10, 2020, Debbie Lynn Williams passed away at the age of 58.
Debbie was born in the old Lawrenceburg hospital in 1961 to John Leslie and Geneva Johnson Swaner. They resided in Ethridge until 1965 when they moved to Mt Pleasant, Tennessee. Debbie was a cheerleader for MPHS all through her high school years. Later, Debbie graduated from CSCC with her Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. She went on to work at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, as a shift supervisor. Debbie was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mt Pleasant. She loved animals to a fault and always had at least one stray she rescued.
Debbie is survived by her parents, her daughter: Kelsey Layne Williams; four grandchildren: Bentley Connor, Audriana Dailey, Anaya Dailey, and Brexton Dailey; two sisters: Susan Swaner and Kathy Barker: sister-in-law: Rita Burress; several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews. She had many friends but one special friend she called her sister: Cornelia Clifton Wood. She was preceded in death by her brother: Jerry Burress and nephew: Jude Smith.
Services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home, Mt Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
