He was a cement mixer operator and had worked for Smith and Attkisson Trucking Co., Nashville Redi-Mix, Maury Co. Highway Dept., and Central Lime and Concrete. Dayne was a member of the Mt. He was a ?grease monkey? who loved to work on mowers, cars and tractors. He loved working, hunting and fishing with his sons, Samuel and Joel. He and the boys were known affectionately around town as ?Sanford and Sons?. Dayne also loved to play music with his family. He played the guitar and harmonica. No matter how sick he was he would cut up and sing all the time. He always had something to say that would stick with you the rest of the day. His beloved dog, Maggie, was always by his side and very protective of him. The family says that she was like a ?daughter? to him. His boys say he was a good father and Paula, his wife, remembers that they have been together since she was 14. Dayne is the love of her life.
