David L. Turner

David Leigh Turner, age 52, left this world too soon on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

David was born on January 30, 1970, in Nashville, TN. Raised in Columbia, TN by his parents, Carolyn Marie Rush Turner and the late Marvin Mimms Turner, Jr., who preceded him in death at the age of 42.

David was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and was employed at Sonoco Protective Solutions.

Those left to cherish David’s memory will be his dear mother: Carolyn Marie Turner; his loving grandmother: Thelma Rush; siblings: Kathryn Turner and Eric Turner; step-children: Jonathan Daniel Waldrop and Nicole Beckum; also his pet dog who he loved dearly.

David had an outgoing personality, he had a great interest in World History and the outdoors. Hobbies were collecting old coins and quartz stones. Also enjoyed watching the History channel and college football.

The family will receive friends and family at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. We will proceed to burial at 2:00 PM, where David will be laid to rest in the Garden of Luke at Polk Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM. Officiating the graveside service will be Benjamin Stewart.
