David Franklin Thomason

Mr. David Franklin Thomason, age 66, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on December 22, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Thomason was born on July 15, 1947 to the late Eulus R. Thomason and Annie Lee Carpenter Thomason in Culleoka, Tennessee. Throughout his life he worked as a self-employed roofer, carpenter and painter and was of the Baptist faith. On December 9, 1972, he married Charlotte Sanderson and they were married for 41 years until his death.

Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife: Charlotte; children: Jennifer (Wayne) Hall, David F. Thomason, Jr., Jason (Jody) Thomason, Shelia Blalock and James David Thomason; siblings: Russell (Margaret) Thomason, Wayne (Betty) Thomason, Margaret Ann Clark, Gracie (James) Ramsey and Jewell (Mike) Johnson; and grandchildren: Emily Thomason, Krista Hall, Katie Thomason, Brette Blalock and Samantha Thomason. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son: Charles (Chucky) Thomason; and sister: Lela Osborne.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomason will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Steve Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Gibsonville Cemetery in Giles County. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

William Sanders, Bobby Ashworth, Jr., Danny Burgett, Jason Thomason, David Thomason, Jr. and Wayne Hall will serve as pallbearers. David’s grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to give special thanks to Maury Regional ICU nurses, doctors, and staff.
