Mr. David Walls, age 54, a resident of Greensmill Road, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at NHC/Hillview in Columbia.
Mr. Walls was born June 6, 1956 in Columbia, the son of the late David Lee Walls and Elma L. Pilkinton Walls. He was the husband of Norma Walls who preceded him in death in December 2010. David was a nursing tech at Bel Air Nursing Home and a department head and physical therapist at Rosewood Manor. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy and was affiliated with the Baptist church.
David is survived by his children: Michelle Walls of Columbia, Tracy Florencio Hernandez of Athens, AL, David Wade Walls and Shon Walls of Columbia; grandchildren: David Hernandez, Clarissa Hernandez and Jaime Hernandez, all of Athens, AL, Michael Gage Walls of Columbia and Isah Walls of Shelbyville; a sister, Sharron Gary Smith of Columbia. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Lee Walls and granddaughter Breonna Walls
Graveside services for David will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rick Points officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 ? 8:00 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
