Mr. David Nichols Scott, 43, a resident of North Main Street in Columbia, died Monday, May 12, 2003 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Scott will be conducted Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Gulfport, Mississippi native was the son of the late Donald Leon Scott and Anne Otto Luke Driskell. He was in the maintenance department at McGee Properties.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Scott is survived by a stepmother, Bessie Scott of Hampshire; one son, Dillon Scott of Mt. Pleasant; three daughters, Kristie Jeremy Choate, Jodi Scott, and Ashley Anderson, all of Mt. Pleasant; Special friends, Debra Christopher Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; Special friend Tracy Scott of Mt. Pleasant; two granddaughters, Shelby Scott Finley and Rachel Mashell Choate, both of Columbia; three brothers, James Tomoko Scott of Hawaii, Fred Terri Scott of Montrose, Colorado, Eddie Wyatt of Arkansas; two sisters, Patricia Scott and Margaret Scott Kitten Parks, both of Arkansas; two step-brothers, David and Chris Harvel of Hampshire; and a step-sister, Brenda Farris of Hampshire.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Boshers, Jason Quattlebaum, Mikel Dukes, Jared Counts and Donnie Isabell and Jay Green.
