David Monroe Lovett

March 14, 1919 — March 18, 2010

Mr. David Monroe Lovett, age 91, a resident of Glenco Drive in Culleoka, passed away on Thursday, March 18 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Lovett will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born March 14, 1919 in Limestone County, AL, he was the son of the late Monroe and Sadie Smith Lovett and the husband of the late Margaret Bowen Lovett. He worked as a furnance operator for Conalco and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his eight daughters: Barbara Floyd Pratt of Pulaski, Mary Bobby Street of Columbia, Judy Charles LeMay of Nashville and Julie Percy McNeese of Culleoka, Imogene Uselton of Pulaski, Liza Randy Fitzgerald of Shepardsville, KY, Pamela David Campbell of Columbia and Melissa Larry Gibson of Hickman Co.; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters: Emma Ingram and Violet Lovett, both of Mt. Pleasant and Pearlie Lovett of Washington; brothers: Edward Lovett of Mt. Pleasant, Leo Lovett , Joe Lovett and Amos Lovett, all of Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by a sister: Essie Smith; brothers: Elick Lovett, Earl Lovett, Paul "Mack" Lovett, Elick Lovett.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
