David Michael “Mike” Cast, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 04, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
Mike was born on April 2, 1945 in Lees Creek, Ohio to Wilbur and Annalois Canter Cast. He served honorably in the United States Army in his younger years. He married Sue Reed on October 4, 1981 and they enjoyed thirty-five wonderful years together. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always a great provider for his family, many times working seven days a week and sixteen hours a day. His retirement came after thirty-eight years with General Motors. He was a member of the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 and the NRA.
Mike is survived by his wife: Sue Reed Cast of Lawrenceburg; children: Tracey (Paul) Turner, Alisa (Ed) Schambs, Janet Matthews, Barry (Fethar) Cast; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur and Annalois Canter Cast; 2 aunts and son-in-law: Todd Matthews.
The family will celebrate his memory with a private memorial service at a later date.
