David Wayne Haynes, age 48, passed away on Monday April 22, 2013 after a tragic accident at work.
David was born November 10, 1964, here in Columbia to Billy and Betty “Haley” Haynes. David was described as a hard worker by many, dedicating much of his career to the Maury County maintenance department. David was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services for David will be held Thursday April 25th beginning at 10 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery. Bro. Ezell Rose and Bro. David Morris will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday April 24th from 4 p.m.- 8p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Pallbearers for David will be Ronnie Bates, Jeff Thomas, Jim Matthews, Mike Sweeny, Tommy Counts, and Brent Holt. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Maury County, David Nichols, James Morrison, and Kenny Hanvy.
David is survived by his parents; One Brother: Stephen Haynes of Weatherford, OK. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas E. Haynes; His grandparents Ben and Bessie Haynes, Walter and Alberta Haley; One Uncle: James T. Haynes; One Aunt: Ruth Morrison.
