David Jeffreys, age 61, a resident of Redwood Circle in Columbia, passed away Friday, September 10 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born August 8, 1949 in Sheffield, AL, he was the son of the late E.P. and Ruby Willis Jeffreys and the husband of Mickie Jeffreys. He was retired from Saturn as a mechanic, worked with the UAW shop committee for skilled trades, avid motorcyclist, big Alabama fan and had enthusiasm for family and life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Brian Casey Jeffreys of Tuscumbia, AL and Casey Becky Jeffreys of Murfreesboro; grandchildren: Jesse Cole Jeffreys and Lellia Grace Jeffreys; brothers: Bobby Nancy Jeffreys and Steve Linda Jeffreys, both of Tuscumbia, AL; sister: Martha Rose Whitlock of Tuscumbia, AL. He was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth Jeffreys and a sister: Barbara Ann Sanderson.
Funeral services for David will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, September 13 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Larry Smart officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Erdly, Ed Hillegasse, Jerry McReynolds, Donnie Lovell, Joe Turner, James Yerby and all the employees of Saturn.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
