David Rex Greenfield, age 56, a resident of Mount Pleasant, TN died Monday, July 19, 2021, at Maury Regional Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 21 from 5 to 8 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. A private funeral conducted by Brother David Buffaloe will be held at the Arbors Pavillion in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN on Thursday, July 22 at 10 am.
Rex was born on August 2, 1964, in Columbia, TN. He was a proud graduate of Columbia Central High School and the University of Memphis where he obtained a degree in Electronics Technology. Rex was a member of the band at Columbia Central High School and enjoyed the many friendships that he made. He worked with his father in the family business, McClain’s Appliance, and later at APCO in Spring Hill, TN. He loved his friends, family, and his dogs Sophie and Sassy and cat Bella. Rex never met a stranger and is survived by many great friends.
He is also survived by his wife, Krystal (Kris) Shelton Greenfield, and daughter Ali Adkison, of Mount Pleasant; his mother: Sue Greenfield; sister: Cathy (Tom) Matyskiela of Columbia, TN; Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sandra and Dean Shelton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Robin and Royal Dickson; nephews, Tyler Matyskiela, Corey (Kassie) Matyskiela and niece Breanna Dickson; great-nephew Liam Matyskiela; and many special cousins.
Rex was predeceased by his father: David Wayne Greenfield; grandparents: Bill and Ann McClain and Kathryn and Max Greenfield.
