David Dewaine Flatt age 55, of Columbia, TN passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
David was born on April 29, 1959 to R.A. “Al” and Peggy “Story” Flatt in Waynesboro, TN. He was a loving husband and father, a former Scout Master who loved fishing and Tennessee football. Since he was 14 years old he worked for his father in the termite and pest control business. He later became certified and licensed in termite and pest control and has been the owner and operator of Al’s Middle Tennessee Termite and Pest Control for many years.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation prior from 11:00 a.m. to service time with Bro. Telford Tharp and Jason Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia.
Pallbearers will be James Flatt, Michael Lovvorn, Chris Lynn, Glenn Nelson, Derrick Pierce and Hunter Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Pierce, friends from Owens Market, as well as many special friends.
David is survived by his loving wife Leasia: his sons James Flatt and Michael (Hope) Lovvorn of Columbia; His parents: Al and Peggy Flatt; One granddaughter: Analeigh Lovvorn of Columbia; One sister: Cherylanne (Britt) Gober of Smyrna; One step-brother: John Richard Flatt of Michigan; Two nieces: Valerie Pierce and Brittany Gober; Two nephews: Hunter and Derrick Pierce; One great-nephew Blake Pierce; One great niece: Brylee Pierce.
