David E. Howard

Mr. David E. Howard, 60, a resident of Red Bud in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, April 29, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 1, at the Lighthouse Church of Jesus Christ with Reverend Rudy Thrasher and Reverend Darrell Thrasher officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home of Columbia.

The Marshall County native was the son of the late Earl Garland Howard and Martha Ann Stacey Howard. He was the husband of Barbara Hunter Howard. Mr. Howard was owner and operator of Hunters Body Shop and Randy's Towing. He was a member of the Lighthouse Church of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Tammy Renee Travis Ervin, David Lewis Howard and Rebecca Ann James Brinkley all of Columbia: Step-dad: Willie D. Howard of Quinton, AL; four sisters: Wanda Joy Robert Stockard and Ramona Kay Howard both of Columbia, Leigh Ann Richard Jones of AL and Tracy Dawn Lynn Dowdy of Dickson; granddaughter: Felicia Nicole Jeremiah" Ragsdale of Columbia; great-grandchildren: Mathew Hunter Ragsdale , Jeremiah Noah Ragsdale and Britton Gage Beard all of Columbia; special aunt: Mary Jo Yancey and special uncle: Billy Stacey, both of Columbia. He was preceded in death by one grandson: Peyton Hunter "Baby Jones" Howard and one sister: Donna C. Howard.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Connor, Barry Connor, Jimmy Dodson, Walter Frank Neal, Vance Owens "Red" and Donald Love.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stacy Winkler, Jimmy Daniels, Kenneth Jenkins, Jimmy Tennyson, Jim Brady, David Putnam, Joe Redd, Jerome Hubert and Mark Wylie.
