Mrs. Dallas Olean Joiner Hines, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, June 17, at her home surrounded by her devoted family.
Mrs. Hines was born August 2, 1933 in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late James Franklin Joiner and Perna Jane Vanderford Joiner. She was the wife of the late Murray Elison Hines, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 20, 2008. Mrs. Hines was devoted to her family and church, the Enterprise United Methodist Church. She loved music, sewing, gardening, cooking and spending time with her friends and her Chihuahua, Heidi.
Survivors include her children, Janice Robinson of Mt. Pleasant, Murray E. Lori Hines II of Chula, GA and Susan Derek Hines-Burns of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Keith Robinson of Texas, Sharon Robinson Josh Burgett of Lewisburg, Jason Robinson of Mt. Pleasant and Sherrie Hines of Athens, GA; great-grandchildren, Jessica Robinson, Shealyn Burgett and Noah Burgett; one sister, Mable Arley Howell along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Larry Fralix and Rev. Bob Weldon officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Leon Corbin, Jeremy Corbin, Darryl Massey, Andrew Massey, Steve Patterson, Scott Renfro, Joe Mason and Bill Sexton. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Renfro, Sammie Massey, Rebecca Cook, Gloria O'Conner, Arley Howell, Joyce and Walter Marlin, Ronald Dinwiddie, Larry and Leann Crain and members of the Enterprise United Methodist Church.
Special thanks is given to the medical staff of the Maury Regional Medical Center Oncology Department, Dr. Charles Ball, Dr. Thomas Dake, Dr. Janice Vinson and Caris Hospice.
