Daisy M. Eastep

Mrs. Daisy M. Eastep, age 73, a resident of Gardner Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Daisy will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Randy Kersey and Bro. Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Stella Angus Walker She was first married to the late Benton Thomason who preceded her in death in 1979 and later to the late Nick Eastep who passed away in 1991. She had been employed by the Spring Hill Children's' Home in Spring Hill and had done private duty sitting and baby sitting. She attended almost all of the functions at the Enterprise Community Center. Daisy was a very active and faithful member of Beech Hill Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include her foster mother: Nolie Powell of Mt. Pleasant one sister: Joyce Faye Andrews of Lacy Spring, AL; one brother: Marvin W. Walker of Huntsfield, AL; two stepdaughters: Sue English Kelly of Mt. Pleasant and Ann Lamar of Columbia; one aunt: Rachel Kersey of Mt. Pleasant; 6 step-grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by special friends: Willie Mae McWilliams, J.C. Bolton, Betty Kersey, Margaret Thomas, Ruth and Al Curry and Randy and Tina Kersey.
In addition to her mother and husbands, she was preceded in death by her foster father: James Edward Powell, sister: Angie Lee Bradford, and a brother: Billy Walker.
Pallbearers will be Randy McNeece, Vernon Brooks, Huey Smith, Steve Kelly, Al Curry and Steven Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Danny Douglas and members of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
