Mrs. Daisy Louise Barnes Nichols, age 74 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at NHC of Columbia.
Louise was born May 11, 1937 to the late Milton and Sadie Stewart Barnes in Columbia, TN. She was married to Frank Nichols, until his passing in 2004. In order to help provide for her family, she worked as a waitress for 35 years. Louise also attended Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
The family wishes to share her memory Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The services for Mrs. Nichols will be conducted Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel with Brother Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Bobby RayMelissa Emmitt, RandyCindy Emmitt, MackJulie Emmitt, RichardCoty Nichols and DarlenePaul Cothran; one sister: Elizabeth Dugger; grandchildren: Ashleigh Emmitt, Cassie Emmitt, Brett Emmitt, Amy Emmitt Manning, Emily Emmitt, Zack Powell, Justin Powell, JermyAmanda Cothran, JefferyBrandy Cothran, Bailey Nichols and the expected Addison Nichols; her twelve great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Emmitt; one grandson: Lance Emmitt; one sister: Anita Howell; one brother: Clayton Barnes.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Barnes, Jimmy Lott, Mike Barnes, Earl Pettus, Roger Howell, Steve Nichols and Larry McNeece. Honorary pallbearers will be David Lott, Randy Nance, NHC Staff, Caris, Pam Holland who was like a second daughter, Joel London, Dr. Snyder and the Family Health Group, Ryan Cothran, and her best friend of forty-two years Betty Sutton
