Mr. Cullen W. Yarbrough, 87, a resident of Altoona, Iowa and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville, Iowa.
Funeral services for Mr. Yarbrough will be conducted Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Wayne Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Born in Loretta, TN, he was the son of the late James O. and Nancy Elizabeth Newton Yarbrough and widower of the late Hildred Campbell Yarbrough. He was self employed in the heating and air service, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Judge Workman Masonic Lodge #610 in Mt. Pleasant, a member of the Eastern Star and a Navy veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a daughter, Paulette John Craggs of Altoona, IA; a granddaughter, Lorilee Matt Mills of Washington, IA; two great grandchildren, Garrett Mills and Tyler Mills, both of Washington, IA; three sisters, Nora Gibson of Columbia, TN, Flora Currie of Oberland, LA and Mildred Beasley of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Dawson Yarbrough of Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cicero Yarbrough.
Pallbearers will be Jon Yarbrough, Mike Yarbrough, Keith Currie, Bill Currie, Steve Priest and Garth Banks.
