C.T. Andrews

June 6, 1923 — February 17, 2003

Mr. Colden Thomas "C.T" Andrews, 79, a resident of Ashwood Drive in Columbia, died Monday, February 17, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Andrews will be conducted Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Andrews Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Jessie and Medie Ellis Andrews. He was the husband of Irene Sullivan Collins Andrews of Columbia. He was a retired truck driver for TVA and served as constable of Williamsport for 9 years. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church/Parkway Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Annie Lou Chapman of Mt. Pleasant and Linda Louise Wayne Ricketts of Murfreesboro; a stepdaughter, Joyce Faye Williams of Columbia; a son, Thomas Wayne Andrews, I of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Daisy Hogan and Rachael Hedrick both of Williamsport, and Myrtie Bell Armstrong of Columbia; nine grandchildren, five step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and twelve step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Andrews.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Cecil Wayne Scott, Jeffery Lee Scott, Derek Wayne Smith, Thomas W. Andrews, II, Gary McKissick, and his neighbor, Clay Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be his step grandchildren.
