Cordia Dee Colvett

June 7, 1927 — May 3, 2005

Mr. Cordia Dee Colvett, 77, a resident of Campbellsville Road in Lynnville, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Colvett will be conducted Friday, May 6, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Wendell Robinson and Randy McNeese officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Giles County, he was the son of the late David Dee and Allie Melissa Dugger Colvett and husband of Alice E. Bennett Colvet. He retired from CSX Railroad track maintence. He was a member of the Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa Ann Colvett Hickman of the Fall River Community, Giles County; two sons, Kenneth Paul Colvett of Lewisburg and Gary D. Gina Colvett of Dandridge, TN; three granddaughters, Miranda Hickman of Liberty Hill, Candi Johns of Pulaski and HallieSue Colvett of Dandridge; three grandsons, Steve Hickman of Liberty Hill, Christopher Colvett of Lewisburg and Timothy Colvett of Mt. Pleasant; two great grandsons, Christian Drake Hickman of Leoma and Christopher Brian Colvett, Jr. of Lewisburg; two sisters, Sally Bradley of Columbia and Flossie McKissick of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Cliffton and Willie Maude Tomerlin and two brothers, Lewis and Bruce Colvett.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Colvett, Steve Hickman, Greg Bradley, Donald Hickman, Jimmy E. Attkisson, Jimmy F. Attkisson, Joe Colvett, John Colvett, Mike Hayes and David Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Bolton, David Workman, Scotty James, Ron Graybar and the men of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

Memorials may be made to the Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
