Coleman Eugene Goodwin, age 90, resident of Columbia, passed away July 25th at home surrounded by family. Coleman was born November 19, 1932, in Maury County. He was the son of the late Ewell and Margie Goodwin. He married Lena Bibb on November 12, 1955, they were married 67 years. He was a loving husband, dad, grandaddy, and great-grandaddy.
After many years he retired from the City of Columbia. He was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
Survived by his wife, Lena Goodwin; two children: Randy (Martha) Goodwin, Jennifer (Michael) Mosley; four grandchildren: Tammi (Todd) Fox, Shandi Kiddoo, Michae (Patrick) Dodson, and Shallyn Mosley; and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters: Jewell (Bill) Suthterland, Shirley Kennedy; one brother: Terry (Patsy) Goodwin; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister: Elizabeth Goodwin.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28th at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, with Brother Lawrence Jackson officiating. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow with military honors. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are: Randy Goodwin, Michael Mosley, Todd Fox, Trey Fox, Case Kiddoo, Tallan Dodson, Kingston Dodson, and Patrick Dodson. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Clark’s Class at Church of God of Prophecy.
