Cody John Randall Howell, age 26 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Cody was a man most commonly known for his great sense of humor and helping hand to his many friends and family. His memory will be cherished by all those who had the chance to know him.
Cody’s life began on August 29, 1987 in Columbia, Tennessee to his parents Randy Howell and Michelle Nance. He was a talented machinist with Columbia Machine Works. To most of his friends he was known as “Nerd.” Along with friends and family he spent long hours riding horses, mules & wagons, muddin’ from Watts Hill to Wheeling in the Country.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Cody’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. also in the Chapel with Bro. Jeff Waldrop. Burial will follow at Freedom Cemetery in Summertown.
Cody is preceded in death by one of his greatest influences and grandmother, Pam Odom Poston, grandfather Liburn Carpenter, grandfather Charles E. Howell, and grandmother Peggy Overstreet.
Cody is survived by his mother Michelle (Mike) Nance; his father Randy (Candice) Howell; sisters Megan (Shawn) Wright and Selena Howell; brothers Trenton Howell and Cameron Howell; step-brothers Daniel (Demetri) Nance and Aaron (Bethany) Nance; grandfather Ronnie Poston; grandmother Faye Howell; great-grandmother Louise Overstreet; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Shelia, Johnny, and Shannon Hines for their continued support and dedication.
Pallbearers will be Adam Mark Laws, Nicholas Laws, Riley Luke, Taylor Odom, Taylor Mosley, Adam Runions, Justin Korp, Josh Vaughn, and Anthony Chapman.
