Clyde Osborne, Jr., age 85, a resident of Galloway Street in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, October 1, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Osborne will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Monty McCandles officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born May 11, 1924 in Maury County, he was the son of the late
Clyde and Estelle Price Osborne and the husband of the late Bessie Mae Brown Osborne, who he was married to for 65 years. He retired from General Machine as a supervisor in the tool & die department and worked for Nashville Wire & Display for over 20 years. He loved playing gospel music on his guitar at church. He was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church and was veteran of the US Army.
Mr. Osborne is survived by his grandson: Bobby Osborne of Columbia; great grandchildren: Eric Lorie Osborne of Fairview and Kristina Michael Osborne-Hofer of Murfreesboro; daughter-in-law: Peggy Grant of Nashville; granddaughters-in-law: Janice Osborne of Fairview and Brenda Ludy of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a son: Clyde H. Osborne.
Pallbearers will be Eric Osborne, Jimmy Roland, Michael Hofer, Billy Webb, R.M. McKenzie and Gary McCandless. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Faith Pentecostal Church.
