Claude L. Ervin

March 1, 1929 — August 28, 2005

Mr. Claude L. Ervin, 76, a resident of Billy Lee Street in Columbia, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Ervin will be conducted Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Kevin Ervin officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Marshall County native was the son of the late Archie Pillow and Florence Roselin Cozoart Ervin and was the husband of Ruthie Mae Butler Ervin. He was a retired security guard for Columbia Mill & Elevator and member of the Church of Christ. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Randy Lee Christy Ervin, Patricia M. Kenny Jones, Terry G. Lisa Ervin all of Columbia, TN, and Melody M. Gary Hahn of Williamsport, TN; four sisters, Betty L. Chesley Cheek of Columbia, TN, Dorothy F. James Young of Lewisburg, TN, Elenor S. Bobby Rubert of Berlin, TN; four brothers, Bobby Martha Ervin of Verona, TN, Wilburn Betty Ervin of Columbia, TN, Clyde Cathy Ervin of Pottsville, TN, and Jackie Sue Ervin of Pulaski; grandchildren, Yolanda Jim Gray, Kenny Jones, Greg AnnaJones, Ashley Moore, Terry Lee Ervin, Holly Ann Moore, Jacob W. Moore, Hunter Ervin, Gary Hahn, Jr., Allen Hogue, Stacey Rick Williams and Clint Hahn; great grandchildren, Daniel Gray, Nicholas Anderson, Haley Jones, Aaleahley Hogue, Eric and Kristen Williams.

Pallbearers will be Greg Jones, Jim Gray, Travis Ervin, Terry Lee Ervin, Jacob Moore, Daniel Gray, and Kenny Lee Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. James Richardson, Dr. Moataz Toban, all nursing staff and physicians on third floor Oncology Unit at Maury Regional Hospital.
