Claude Clifford Thomason, Jr.

Mr. Claude Clifford Thomason, Jr., age 81, a resident of Joy Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomason will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
A native of the Enterprise Community of Maury Co., he was the son of the late Claude Clifford Thomason, Sr., and Nettie Mae McKennon Thomason. He was the husband of Jean Smith Thomason of Mt. Pleasant whom he married on July 27, 1957. He was a maintenance mechanic.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters: Shirley Jim Stewart of Columbia, Debbie Jerry Gibson of Columbia and Lynn Holt of Columbia; three sons: Rickey Bailey of O?Fallon, MO, Garry Catie Thomason of Columbia and Terry Carol Thomason of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Amy Emerson, Stephanie Barrett, Michael Bailey, Angie Haley, Regina Bailey, Justin McKennon, Matthew Gibson, Amanda Johnson, Emily Thomason, Cassie Thomason, Brett Holt, Colin Holt, Casey Stewart, Kayla McNichols, Codie Bauman, Kelsie Stewart, Kylie Lamb, Lizzy Bailey-Chandler, Tyler Warfield, Kristin McKennon, Makayla Johnson, Jalen Johnson and Robert Johnson; two brothers: Robert Thomason of Murfreesboro and Edward Thomason of Summertown. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Jessie Ann McKennon, three sisters: Rena Dycus, Dena Foster and Faye Allen and three brothers: Ernest, David and Ulna Thomason.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
