Clarence S. Wiley

Mr. Clarence S. Wiley, 91, a resident of River Heights Drive in Columbia, died Monday, October 27, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Wiley will be conducted Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Adair and Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The Hickman, Kentucky native was the son of the late Jim and Maggie King Wiley. He was the husband of Bessie Riley Wiley of Columbia. He was a retired farmer, a Maury County School bus driver, and drove for the Maury County Senior Citizens. He operated the dairy farm at the Baptist Children?s Home in Franklin for several years. He was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Billy Benefield of Columbia, TN; five grandchildren, Jeff Kim Benefield of Columbia, TN, Steve Tracyann Benefield of Murfreesboro, TN, Jan James Hanvy of Spring Hill, TN, Alicia Louis Flores of Nashville, TN, and Keith Luttrell of Columbia, TN; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Charles Luttrell of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann Luttrell; four brothers, Joe Wiley, Charlie Wiley, Archie Wiley, and Ad Wiley.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Benefield, Steve Benefield, Keith Luttrell, Jimmy Hanvy, Bobby Dan Parker, Charles Wiley, Ronnie Nall, John Riley, Wayne Riley, and Lloyd Wiley. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Prosser, Mike Prosser, Harold and Lois Davis, J.W. and Audrey Scott, Perry and Kathleen Rogers, Ruth Johnson, Delano and Lucretia Benefield, Deacons and his Sunday School Class at Highland Park Baptist Church, friends of the Maury County Senior Citizens, Billy Joe Riley, and Mildred Richards.

Memorials may be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church, 1800 Highland Avenue, Columbia, Tennessee 38401.
