Clarence Allen Davis

Mr. Clarence Allen ?Boy Dog? Davis, age 84, a resident of Sowell Hollow Road in Columbia, passed away on Monday, October 16, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, with Glenn Richardson and Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 5:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Allen Davis and Alice Chapman Davis. He was first married to the late Marie England Davis and later to the late Virginia Sears Davis. He was a former employee of Arrow Mines and was retired from the Maury County Road Department. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed working with mules. He was a member of the Halls Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter: Dorothy William Hendrix of Spring Hill; two sons: Ronnie Wayne Davis of Sacramento, CA and Roger Donna Sears of Mt. Pleasant; four sisters: Katie McKennon and Mildred Stokes, both of Nashville; Annie Bell Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant and Cora Faye Bennett of Summertown; four grandchildren: Doris Jean Mark Holt of Pulaski, Patricia Sue Terry Green of Columbia, Josh Liz Sears and Amanda Sears Cole Bowling, both of Mt. Pleasant and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Elvin, Elbert and Cleveland Davis and two sisters: Florene Davis Workman and Margaret Dolly Davis Odom.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Bennett, Terry Bennett, T.J. Bennett, Tommy Bennett, Brent Bennett and Charlie Robinson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be employees and former employees of the Maury County Road Department.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Middle Tennessee, 2120 Crestmoor Road, Nashville, TN 37215-2613.
