Mr. C.L. Liles, 71, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, died Monday, September 8, 2003 at Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Liles will be conducted Thursday September 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Arkansas native was the son, of the late Henry and Ora Lawrence Liles and the husband of Betty Grooms Cantrell Liles, formerly of Mt. pleasant. He was a retired baker at the Belle Meade Cafeteria and a former employee of Belle Meade Country Club for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
In Addition to his wife, he is survived a daughter, Susan Iron of Star City, Ark., a granddaughter, Laurie Iron of Star City, Ark.; step ?children, Glenda Parson of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Sherry Johnson of Santa Fe, TN, Steve Charlene Cantrell of Columbia, TN, Melissa Billy Hendrix of Columbia, TN, Vicki Richard Calvert of Summertown, TN and Stanley Kathy Cantrell of Pulaski, TN; twenty two step-grandchildren and twenty one step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Calvert, Andrew Rich, Matthew Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Daniel Cates, and Steven Hendrix.
Honorary Pallbearers will be emloyees of Belle Meade Cafeteria.
