Cindy Underwood

Cindy Lee Underwood, age 65, went home to be with her Lord on April 22, 2023 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Cindy was born October 8, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa to the late Howard Wilshire and Helen Theison Wilshire.

Cindy was a faithful woman who cherished her friends and family. She was strong willed some might say stubborn, and she loved fiercely. She was the sort of person that took joy in the simple things. She didn’t need much to be happy. She enjoyed quality time with her family whether that was playing a hand of cards with her husband or watching a favored show or new movie. Often Cindy had Golden Girls playing, she loved those gals. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day saints. Cindy is loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 24 years Randy Underwood; son: Chad (Cheryl) Slycord; grandchildren: Brianna (Misty) Griffith, Christopher Slycord, and Joshua Slycord; great grandchildren: Derek Slycord, Audry Lynn Slycord, and Julianna Slycord; sisters: Helen Taylor and Linda Hall; brother: Howard Wilshire;; special friends: Mary Hamilton and Dave Faldmo and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Bill Wilshire, Dennis Wilshire, and Debbie Wilshire;  and half sister: Jean Dawdy.

The family will visit with friends Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A service will be held immediately following visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Russ Adcox officiating.
