Chuck Craig

March 19, 1969 — February 3, 2024

Culleoka

Chuck was born on March 19, 1969, in Columbia, Tennessee to Charles Craig, Sr. and Judy Craig.

Chuck passed away on February 3, 2024, at his home in Giles County, Tennessee after a long battle with CHF and Cellulitis.

Growing up, Chuck loved to draw and play musical instruments, often playing by ear. At the age of 15, he accepted Christ as his savior. He showed his compassion for people through giving. His parents recall a sweet memory of him coming home from school one day, shoeless. Chuck had given his shoes to someone who didn’t have any. After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School, Chuck felt at home in the driver’s seat of a semi-truck. That is where he acquired the nickname Porkchop and perfected his gift to “Gab”. He enlisted in the National Guard as a door gunner, serving two tours in Iraq during combat.

Chuck spent the last 17 years married to the love of his life, Maggie. They established his final home together on the edge of Giles County. Chuck’s best days were spent hunting or fishing or doing what he loved the most: talking. Through his battles and life struggles, he always kept his tender heart for others.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife: Maggie Craig; his father: Charles Craig, Sr.; mother: Judy Craig; Brother: Chad (Autumn) Craig; daughter: Tiffany ( Jamie) Brashears; granddaughter: Coraline Brashears; son: Bradley Edward Craig; nephew: Kyle Craig; niece: Joelie (Brennan) Tucker.

Chuck is preceded in death by his infant son: Charles Crockett Craig.

1 Samuel 16:7 “But the Lord said unto Samuel, ‘Look not on his countenance or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him’ for the lord seeth not as man seeth; but for man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
