Christopher Daniel Clifton, known lovingly by friends and family as Daniel, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and beloved dog Lagertha, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, on January 16, 2025. Born on December 18, 1981, in Maury County, Tennessee, Daniel brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him.
An avid outdoorsman, Daniel had a deep love for nature, especially fishing, hiking, and duck hunting, often accompanied by his cherished friend, Kirk. His meticulous nature and artistic spirit shone brightly in his career as a tattoo artist for over 20 years, where he poured his heart into every design he created, leaving behind a legacy of art that will forever be admired.
Daniel's love for music was another defining aspect of his life, expressed through his role as guitarist and singer for the band Glock Lollipop. His passion and talent resonated deeply with audiences and friends alike.
He was also a proud Free Mason, a loving brother, and a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones like no other. His dogs—Lagertha, Cassi, and Zeke—held a special place in his heart, offering him companionship and joy.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Cornelia Clifton-Wood; his grandmother, Ann Clifton, who lovingly helped raise him; his sister, Jessica Wood; and his daughter, Jillian, who will forever carry on his spirit. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Chris and Elizabeth Harper, Amiee and David Moore; and cousins: Lauren Harper, Nick Harper, and Leah Moore. He is reunited with his granddaddy who also helped raise him, Edward Clifton, and his beloved dogs, Zeke and Cassi, and cousin: Maegan Moore.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Mayberry, Justin Smith, Beau Yearby, Eric Massey, Cody Black, Myke Daubenspeck, and Jimmy Marshall. Honorary pallbearers include David Moore, Amanda Castle-White, Jaki Warren, Jacob Barrows, Matt and Arnita Braun, and the staff at Brightmoor Tattoo.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, with Bobby Gobble and Pastor Tory Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Daniel will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Daniel’s warmth, creativity, and dedication to his passions and loved ones leave an indelible mark on all who knew him.
