Mrs. Buelah Christine Brooks Baker, 81, died Wednesday, July 03, 2002, at Life Care Center.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Glenwood Cemetery with Jeff Waldrop of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ officiating.
Williams Columbia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was a lifelong resident of Maury County and resided in Columbia.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Annie Brooks of the Santa Fe Community. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Fay Cunningham of Columbia; one son, Robert Baker of Greenville, KY; two granddaughters, Mrs. Jason Anita Vick Kennedy of Murfreesboro and Yvette Baker of Norfolk, VA; one grandson, Robbie Baker of Greenville, KY; one great-granddaughter, Kelley Turrentine of Columbia; one great-grandson, R.J. Nolen of Murfreesboro; two great-great-grandchildren, Essence and Darius Turrentine of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Kennedy, R.J. Nolen, J.W. Brooks, Terry Craig, Arthur Slaughter and Ernie Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Simmons, Dr. Amit Choksi, the Oncology doctors and nurses of Maury Regional Hospital, employees of NHC, Hospice of the Highland Rim and Life Care Center of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by one beloved grandson, David Michael Vick, of Dallas, TX; one sister, Bessie Hancock, Pecos, TX and three brothers, Robert Brooks, of the Santa Fe Community, Jasper Dick Brooks of Columbia and L. B. Brooks of Oklahoma.
