Mr. Chris Zimmerlee, age 39, and a resident of Giles County, Tennessee passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his residence.
A native of Columbia, Tennessee, Chris was born on March 5, 1973 to Randall Zimmerlee and Cathy Gifford. He was of the Baptist faith and was a surveyor. He taught himself to play the guitar, and loved to play with his friends. He especially enjoyed teaching his cousin, Tate how to play. He loved people, and he never met a stranger. His kind disposition left a wonderful impression on people and once you met him, you would never forget your encounter with this young man. As his father recalled, Chris evaluated his life and decided to make the necessary changes to become a man of integrity. With pride, his father stated that this is the thing that Chris will be remembered for. His sweet spirit will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Lee Anne Gifford of Columbia, TN.
Funeral services for Chris will be conducted Friday, July 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home at 819 N. Main Street in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
