Charles T. "Lil' Red" Buttrum

Charles "Lil' Red" Buttrum, age 37, a resident of North Main Street in Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Charles will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Phillip Morton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

The Cartersville, GA, native was the son of Roy Buttrum of Columbia and Brenda Mitchell of Lewisburg. He was the husband of Angela Morton Buttrum of Columbia. He was a truck driver for Mealer Trucking and attended Hope Assembly of God in Fayetteville.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include his children: Tony Buttrum and Austin Buttrum, both of Columbia and Nicole Buttrum of Summertown; one step-daughter: Hope Essex of Columbia; one sister: Linda Phillip Warren of Fayetteville; one brother: Dwayne Wendy Buttrum of Lewisburg; grandfather: R.B Sissy Buttrum of Calhoun, GA and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Charles & Marie Mitchell and Betty Sue Buttrum

Pallbearers will be David Pendley, Jeff Peters, Kevin Owens, Devin Owens, Charles Buttrum, Phillip Warren and Dwayne Buttrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Pendley, Scotty Morton and Greg Morton.
