Mr. Charles R. Duncan, age 59, a resident of Williamsport Pike in Columbia, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007, in NHC/Hillview.
Visitation for Mr. Duncan will be Saturday May 5, 2007 from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Cooperstown, NY, native was the son of the late Herb and Clara L. Duncan and the husband of Blanch Irene Rode Duncan. He was a logger for 25 yrs, a farmer for 10 years, CNA in New York for a nursing home. He loved to fish, wood carving and singing with his son-in-law. He was of Baptist Faith.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Laurie Roy Williams of Kansas, Lewis Olivia Duncan of Culleoka, Charles Duncan, Jr. of AZ, Gina Duncan of Oregon, Charles R. Duncan, Jr. of NY, Charles R. Loretta Duncan, Jr. and Clara L. Brandon Cash Duncan both of Columbia; girlfriend, Kathy Ostrander of Columbia; many nieces, nephews and grandchildren; step-son, Douglas W. Ostrander of Columbia; future daughter-in-law, Beth Fowler of Columbia; best friend, Stanley Amy Emerson of Columbia; step-mother, Irene Duncan of Columbia; a sister, Mary Ann Chapman of Columbia; three brothers, Howard Sally Duncan of N.Y., Kenny Sharon Duncan of Columbia and Danny Norma Duncan of N.Y.; a niece, Mary Elizabeth Chapman of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Duncan.
