Charles Andrew Keeton, age 68, of Lawrenceburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Care in Lawrenceburg.
Charles was born February 23, 1950 in Waterloo, Alabama, the son of the late Andrew Keeton and Ora Mae White Keeton. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Everyone who knew him loved him. He was a wonderful father and husband. He was a gifted musician, being able to play guitar, mandolin, banjo and fiddle. He loved bluegrass, country and gospel and especially loved combining the styles of all of them.
Charles is survived by his life partner, Karen Spears of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Catherine Woolen and Rebecca Powell, both of Lawrenceburg; one son, Charlie Keeton, Jr.; one step-daughter, Melinda Spears of Hermitage; grandchildren, Chad Foster, Delton Foster, Jr., John Laws, James Laws III and Randa Riley and several great grandchildren; siblings, Vera Mae Judkins, Linda Staggs, Floyd Keeton, Archie Keeton, Roy Keeton, Garry Keeton, Terry Keeton, Danny Keeton and Artis Keeton and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clyde Keeton and Eddie Keeton and an infant daughter, Sheila Mae Keeton.
The family will celebrate Charlie's life on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Thomas Mattox officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, September 8 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
