Mr. Charles Edward "Eddie" Fitzgerald, II, age 33, a resident of Odd Fellows Hall Road in Pulaski, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from injuries he sustained in a drowning accident in West Virginia.
Born on May 16, 1978 in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of Charles Fitzgerald of Columbia and Cathy Paulin of Williamsport. Eddie was the husband of Kendra Sheets Fitzgerald of Pulaski. He had been employed with Tennessee Aluminum Processors. He loved to fish and go riding around, whether in a truck or on a motorcycle. He loved country music but his favorite group was AC/DC. Eddie graduated from Mountaineer Challenge Military Academy in West Virginia. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Columbia and the American Legion post 60 in Pulaski.
In addition to his parents and wife, Eddie is survived by his step-children, Trinity and Harley Pruett; his brother, James Tally Fitzgerald of Columbia; his aunts, Dotty Wilson, Karen Paulin and Jean Ann Heindl all of West Virginia; an uncle, Clay Kathy Fitzgerald of GoodSprings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Eddie will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Price Keller officiating. Interment will follow at the Gibsonville Cemetery.
The Fitzgerald Family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. on Monday with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Active pallbearers will be James Hobby, Ricky Hobby, Monroe Hobby, Dave Helton, George Helton and John Carey. Honorary pallbearers will be John Boy Cothran, Andy Harris, Tony Gann and members of the American Legion post 60 in Pulaski.
