Charles Edward Brown

Charles Edward Brown was born August 16, 1940 in Maury County, to the late William E. Brown and Susie Sims Brown. Charles was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and was employed for 37 years with Monsanto Chemical Company as a Machinist and in the Maintenance Department. Charles was the Chairman of the Deacons at Allensville Baptist Church where he had served faithfully for a number of years. He loved spending time working on his farm and fishing. Charles was a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Beverly Smith Brown of Mt. Pleasant; children, Susan Hoss Holt of Mt. Pleasant, Chuck Lori Brown of Mt. Pleasant and Andy Alicia Brown of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Justin Tisha Holt of Leoma, Adam Holt of Mt. Pleasant, Jessica Brad Weaver of Columbia, Matt Brown of Mt. Pleasant, David Brown of Mt. Pleasant, and Aidan Brown of Mt. Pleasant; great-grandchildren, Josie Heatherly and Maddison Heatherly.

Mr. Brown went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 17, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Hoss Holt and Reverend Elmer Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, October 16, 2011, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Justin, Adam, Brad, Matt, David, and Aidan, along with Roland McKnight and Joseph Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be Reverend Elmer and Mildred Crosby, Aaron Jones, Richard Cothran, James Parsons, fellow Monsanto employees, members of the Allensville Baptist Church, and members of the Hay Long High School Class of 1958.

The family would like to give special thanks to Caris Health Care, the Columbia Oncology Group and the IV Therapy nurses.
