Mr. Charles "Buddy" Wiseman, age 58, a resident of Demastus Lane in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, March 5, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Wiseman will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Hank Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born in Maury Co , he was the son of the late Milus Wiseman and Virginia Woodard Wiseman. He was the husband of Debra Barnes Wiseman of Columbia, whom he married on February 14, 1975. Mr. Wiseman was an employee of Williamson County Highway Department as a heavy machine operator. He also worked at Floyd & Floyd Construction and General Trucking. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Wiseman enjoyed spending time outside and working with his cows.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one son: James Jennifer Wiseman and one daughter: Jamie Corey Williams, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Savannah Wiseman, Hailey Wiseman, Jacob Wiseman, Taylor Williams, Allison Williams and Caleb Williams, all of Columbia; brothers: Coy Lee Flora Wiseman of Columbia, Martin "Tootie" Portia Woodard of Mt. Pleasant, Ollie "Dump" Linda Woodard of Mt. Pleasant, James "Monk" Katherine Woodard of Mt. Pleasant, Ronnie Judy Wiseman of Columbia and Michael Cynthia Wiseman of Culleoka; sisters: Betty Ross LeMay of Columbia, Marie Estes of Mt. Pleasant, Patricia Bobby Johnson of Culleoka and Linda Hall of Culleoka; sisters-in-law: Ann Wiseman of Summertown and Laverona "Snookie" Woodard of Columbia, 119 nieces and nephews, father and mother in-law: James Thelma Barnes and brother and sister in-law: Linda Rabon Dodson. He was preceded in death by Wayne Woodard, Donald Wiseman, Stanley Wiseman and Rose Marie Wiseman.
Pallbearers are: Crafton Woodard, Jeff Jones, Randall Woodard, Bradley Woodard, Bobby Wade Johnson, David Phillips, Roger Workman and Chris Williams. Honorary pallbearers will the employees of the Williamson County Highway Department.
