Charles “Chuck” Bernard Parson, age 70, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on August 14, 2018 at his residence.
Charles was born on August 21, 1947 to the late JB and Irene Parson. His mission was to spread God’s word and spending time with family. He was a member of “His Church” in Buckhead Ridge, Florida and Liverworth Church of God of Prophecy in Clarksville, Tennessee. Charles never met a stranger and truly loved people from the deepest portion of his heart. He always had a smile on his face. He retired from 26 years of teaching at Okeechobee High School, Florida where he taught electronics and carpentry. His favorite hobbies included carpentry, horses and antiquing.
Charles is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Tammy Parson; daughters, Edie (Jason) Dugger, Kelley Lane and Sarah Jansen; sons, Andrew (Mallory) Jansen, Matthew (Emily) Jansen and Daniel (Thomas) Jansen; grandchildren: Becca Dugger, Matt Dugger, Harlie Lane, Jackson Sivley, Deegan Sivley and Emma Jansen; brother, Jack Parson and sisters, Joanola M. Pullum and Ellen Stanford. In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, JB “Sonny” Parson Jr. and Mack S. Parson and sister, Jean Ann Scharrer.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Pastor Timothy Welborn and Pastor Johnny Collins officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for monetary donations for His Kids ministry at “His Church” or children’s ministry at Liverworth Church of God of Prophecy.
