Charles "Butch" Goatz

Charles Wayne ?Butch? Goatz, 62, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday at Maury regional Hospital.
A memorial service for Mr. Goatz will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday, October 30 at the Mt. Nebo Methodist Church in Columbia with Rev. Donna Higginbotham officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at the church. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Giles County, he was the son of Betty Childrey Goatz and the late Charlie D. Goatz and husband of Lori Cox Goatz. He was a supervisor for a security guard service.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Charles Ryan Goatz of Columbia; a step-daughter, Brandi Tommy Chapman of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Ashley Boyd and Maddy Chapman, both of Pulaski; a sister, Susie Reece of Columbia; two brothers, Mike Sis Goatz and Dennis Goatz, both of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Goatz and a sister-in-law Patsy Goatz
