Charles Aaron Mcdonald

August 19, 1927 — March 14, 2006

Mr. Charles Aaron McDonald, 78 , passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at his home on Gray Circle in Columbia surrounded by his family.

Funeral services for Mr. McDonald will be conducted Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Alan Corry. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Sam Frank and Dorothy Lee Younger McDonald and the husband of Linda Harding McDonald. He graduated from Columbia Central and attended Columbia Business College. He worked for the United States Post Office for 30 plus years and Maury County Solid Waste for 16 years. Mr. McDonald was a member of the American Legion Post #19 and member of the Viola Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Larry Von Christy McDonald, Garry Lindell Missy McDonald, Debbie Brian Cooper, Bill Shelton, Pam Mike Chandler, and David Nikki Jones all of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Jonathan McDonald, Tiffany McDonald, Dustin McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Ashley McDonald, Cassie Tidwell, Caitlyn Tidwell, Kali Shelton all of Columbia, TN


Pallbearers will be Jonathan McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Dustin McDonald, Phillip Harding, Brian Cooper and Mike Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Bain, William Jarratt and Robert Pruett.
