Charlene Marie Scharrer

August 24, 1964 — March 13, 2009

Charlene Marie Scharrer, age 44, passed away on Friday, March 13, unexpectedly at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Charlene will be conducted Monday, March 16, at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Brother Dalton Cole officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 –9:00 P.M. at the funeral home

The Maury County native was the daughter of William "Bill" Scharrer and the late Jean Parson Scharrer both of Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1982, and Columbia State Community College in 1985 with an associate degree in Applied Science and MLT. Charlene worked in the medical field her entire life. She was a former employee of Maury Regional Hospital, and was currently employed by Vanderbilt Core lab at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Charlene loved music, crafts, and spending time with family and friends and attended New Song Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her brothers: Wayne Tammy Scharrer of Columbia and Billy Kathy Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant; a sister: Julie Scharrer of Columbia; a special brother: Tony Cole of Mt. Pleasant. Charlene's pride and joy were her nephews and nieces, Andrew Kelley Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant, Whitney Scharrer of Columbia, Katelyn, Kurtis, and Konner Scharrer of Mt. Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
